Welcome to West Orange USY! We are a Jewish youth group affiliated with the Conservative Movement for grades 9-12 that centers out of Congregation B’nai Shalom in West Orange.

West Orange USY holds events regularly that range from holiday parties to
crazy competitions to bowling and lounge nights. All of our events center
around the values of social action, tikkun olam (repairing the world), religion
education, and Israel awareness.
USY is an excellent opportunity to meet Jewish teens, not only from the area
but from all over New Jersey as well. West Orange USY is active in Hagalil,
the northern New Jersey region of United Synagogue Youth. Hagalil offers
high school students the opportunity to immerse themselves in various
Jewish and social activities while forming friendships that will last a lifetime.
Regionally, USYers have the opportunity to enjoy numerous conventions,
week-long summer encampment, dances, and special programs.
In addition, Jewish teens may take advantage of USY’s unforgettable summer
programs across North America, Israel, and Europe, as well as the annual
International Convention.
